Do you have an Accountant?

Accountant with a capital A?

Hmmm..

An Accountant.. keeping books, records, account management – in the red, in the black?

I have An Accountant.  And I am so glad.

Sadly, though, I came to find out last week, that I have had more than one accountant and I didn’t even know.

Thankfully, the Accountant I have always had is free  to me- paid for with a costly price – a life.

Unfortunately, the other accountant, is not free.  Paid for with strained relationships, and bitterness that runs deep in them.

Accountant – Capital AMy Father in Heaven. Who keeps no records of wrong.  Whom I am accountable to.  Whom erases the red, with His Son’s Blood, and turns my sin into something clean.  Who forgives me, loves me, and sees me as His child.

accountant- Lower case a A close person in our lives.  Who has been keeping a record of wrongs- for many years,( without us knowing).. in a book – called bitterness.  Paid for with literal finger pointing, and defamation and assumption of character.  Who doesn’t love like My Father, and keeps the account in the red.

This past week brought me to my knees before my Father in Heaven- again.

I write this post today, for those that have come to a place in their life, where they look around, and all they see are Judging Eyes, and no love.

Finding the devastating news that a loved one has been writing their own book on your life, made upon assumptions, and hearsay, never communicating with you, can be heart-breaking.

Take heart by this dear friends –

There is ONLY ONE Accountant that MATTERS – A Heavenly Father -that loves us enough to refine us with love, and not bitter judgement.

Let the Word of God be your Magnifying Glass- not another persons opinions.

Take heart – and let the burden fall in him.

Those other “books” will only be thrown out.. in the end.

Take a challenge as well –

Remember ,, we ourselves, are not to keep a record of wrongs for another –

Pressing on.

Can I pray for you also?

Em, THE Accountant knows your beautiful heart. He has indeed forgiven you when you’ve needed fogiveness. He has nurtured you through heartache and trials. His love has endured. I pray you will be comforted knowing that His acceptance is all you need. “Oh how He loves you and me … He gave his life, what more could He give…”
    AND I love you Em.
    Affectionately,
    Et

I had a very similar experience recently and it hurt my heart so much! Probably because you don’t see it coming but their list has apparently been building for quite some time and it makes you question if the relationship was ever real in the first place 🙁 I know your pain and thank you for sharing it so I don’t feel alone. By the way….I love the new look on your blog. I read in a reader so I don’t know how long you have had this layout but I clicked over to comment and just love it!!
