Take Time For Tea

Every special year that a little girl turns five in our home – We celebrate with a Fancy, “Made -for -Her”  Tea Party.

There is a special fuss over details… the Cookies, the China, the Dress and the Fun.

Her little girl heart is glowing and bursting all year- waiting for this special day!

We have had a special table in our family for over 30 years, and we have restored it last through all of the girls the Lord has blessed us with. and all of the Tea Parties we knew we would be having.

It is a magical time, with little-girl giggles, twirly-dresses, and raised tea-cups.

But, most of all – a time of friendships.

The little girls sit around the table and chat at their own pace, and giggle at the silliest things.  Lovely.

The day makes us all smile – and ponder that yet, another little girl is now entering into the ranks of little girl life.

Seasons of celebration can be the beginnings of new traditions.

Take Time for Tea  - more often than not.

Take Time for giggles, hugs, coloring, heart to heart talks – every week.

Look into your children’s eyes, and behold the wonder, sparkle and contagious life in their youth.

Grab a hold of their heart with your words, your love and your time.

Don’t put your memories on hold for a once a year celebration.

Celebrate EVERY DAY!

Take time for Tea.

Oh, this is precious – what a lovely way to celebrate! My oldest will be turning 5 next year, so I’m going to keep this in mind :)

I enjoyed reading this post. :) Makes me think of the little girl parties my younger sisters have. Actually, my 8 and 11 yr old sisters were reading that same manners book last week! It’s a precious time in their lives! Your post reminded me to cherish it more. :)
