A Purity Talk- Beauty or Shame?

Where do you fit in?

Option 1.) We probably should begin talking to our child about the “birds & the bee’s,” and get it over with.

Option 2.) I have no idea how I am going to start telling my child about the facts of life, they will probably know more than I did at their age.

Option 3.) We aren’t going to wait until our child finds out the wrong information, or a twisted view on relationships and purity – we are going to start early… but we have no clue what we are going to say.  Awkward.

Option 4.) I am in no rush to talk to my kids,,, No one ever talked to me, and I “made-out,” just fine.

Option 5.)I think that my child has already heard more than they will learn from me, and so, I will just keep an eye on them.

Your Option Here……………

The options you are reading are snippets of conversations – Real Life Conversations.

You have heard them too?

In this Generation  – Purity is Nonsense .  I was told this personally this month.

We have a responsibility to re-define the meaning in our own homes.

What do your Children know about Purity and Relationships?

Three weeks ago, my husband and I were visiting with someone in town.  The conversation turned to their shock at an college-aged acquaintance that was living in purity.

“In THIS day and Age,” they exclaimed!

What does that mean?  Please tell me.

Because , putting all generations aside, the Bible has a lot to say about Purity, and Relationships.

The real question is this…
“WHO is teaching THIS generation these valuable principles?  Is it you?  Are you ok with them sliding into the gray areas of these important times of life with out some guidance?

I guess it is all in how you LOOK at  “it.”

Do you consider this a shameful thing to discuss, and therefore, are too embarrassed to broach the subject?

Perhaps we think our children lead innocent and protected lives — therefore – What’s the big deal?

Re-Think your Options!

Read, Prepare, and Be not Ashamed – You choose how your children will see Purity – As Beauty or Shame.

A beautiful God-made  plan – Now considered Radical – and Out-dated.

I believe it is beautiful.

Talk about it.
