Today is a day of celebration’s around here. Stick around, for I have a few surprises for you.
But, in case you were wondering how this mom of many celebrates a birthday, I am going to give you a little sneak peek into my morning.
A Birthday morning for me..
6:30 sharp – two little girls with long hair and bright eyes are sitting outside my bedroom door, wrapped in princess blankets, and smiles for a new day.
Shortly after – my three-year old sweetly asks, “Mommy, where is my food.” Yes, about that. It is my birthday and I don’t feel like cooking for an army. I am serving a big pot of oatmeal in ten minutes. Smiles and full bellies are my gift.
My phone is already buzzing from the birthday blessings from so many of you. Thank you so much friends.
I head to the gym for an intense work-out, and drink out of my own water bottle!!! Woohoo! ( No little people asking for my drink.)
A stop at my favorite coffee place, and a Chai Tea with whipped cream is my gift to myself.
Home for a shower without little ones waiting outside the shower curtain for mommy. The luxury of MY OWN DRY TOWEL was more than I could have asked for.
The children are cleaning out the our 15 passenger van - no small feat! ( my requested birthday present.)
My husband “sternly” tells me that cleaning, organizing, and the such are off-limits today.
Happy Birthday songs from all of my little ones, my mom calling to sing to me, and my older children posting heart messages for me on Facebook. Blessed.
I can hear the rustling of my “middlers” decorating the house, while the mass of laundry is calling my name - but, alas, it may have to wait – My husbands even said so :)
More to come I am sure. The baby is calling… “Mommmmmmmm,” and knocking on my door as I type.
Thank you for celebrating with me. In so many ways.
And don’t forget – My new EBook is ONE more celebration coming up. Check it out.
For the love of fall, birthdays, and my writing with YOU – Will you celebrate with me by winning one of my Celebration Giveaways? A few of my favorite things this fall.
