When Something Has To Give

My ears perk up when I hear women mutter the words, “I cannot do this anymore.”  My empathetic heart desires to come alongside them and tell them that “this,” doesn’t have to be such drudgery and exhaustion.

I know.  I have walked through the seasons of exhaustion and defeat, and know the root of thoughts like – “How am I to keep everything going?”  Those thoughts lead to defeat, depression, exhaustion and turmoil within the heart.

Do you feel at the mercy of your schedule?  I did.  There were so many days when my heart would beat to a different rhythm that my day had planned for me.  When was life going to slow down a little?  Would I ever be able to swim into the current of my own passions and desires, rather than feeling like I was swimming upstream–against it all?

Women are dealing with this inward struggle, and no one knows.  Our health is affected, and we seem to grasp for an identity in our circumstances, rather than the truth of who we really are, and what we were created for.

Matthew 11:28-30 English Standard Version (ESV)

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

This is a small window into my new eBook – to be released on October 1st- only 12 days away!

I wrote this book for myself, and I wrote it for you.

Does this sound familiar? Have you been walking a tight-rope of inbalance and overwhelming schedules?

You can “like” my new eBook here– and I will share more soon where you can find this book for your own reading.

Are you swinging too many hula hoops today?  It is OK to let one go.  How can you keep everything going?  You don’t have to keep EVERYTHING.   Abide.
