Spoken To With A Hateful Voice?

Why am I so shocked when a new behavior or attitude comes out on display?  It causes me to step back, and remember that this may be “normal,” but I am never ready for when it happens.I walk away shaking my head, asking myself out loud – “Where did THAT come from?”

There is behavior that is “normal,” and acceptable,, with the features of molding and growing into something better, and then there is behavior that is not acceptable, defiant, and down-right needs correction and change altogether.

Let’s talk about Communication!  Do you have daughters that have begun to periodically speak to you in a  hateful tone?

You are asking yourself – “Where did THAT come from, and WHAT did I do?”

How do you address the tone, and correct it, without making your daughter more angry?

This was a question from the readers at MODsquad, and I share my answer today on the blog.  I know all moms deal with new surprises daily.  Will you stop over there today and read the rest of the post.  I would love to hear your own stories.

Hi September, I just found this blog, and would love to know your answer to the question of a teenaged daughter speaking in a hateful voice. Especially interested in your thoughts on how to handle without making her angrier. When I followed the prompts to read the rest of the blog, I found it had been deleted. Any chance I could find this blog somewhere else? This is something I am struggling with my precious 17 yo. Thanks so much, and nice to “meet” you.
