About Us

family-photo-fall-blog

My name is September McCarthy, and I am so glad that you stopped by for a visit. Within the sacred walls of my words, I share our big family life with small daily steps.  I am married to my builder and we have raised ten children and continue to add more blessings as our family grows up and out.

In the small pockets of time I may find free, I homeschool our children, continue as the Founder and Hostess of the non-profit, Raising Generations Today, and will be launching my first book in the fall of 2017 with Harvest House Publishers.

I thrive within the fields of our open country life and the pages of a book. My family is where my heart is, but my vision is for the generations to come and my roots are strong for my community and those within my sphere of influence.

We are raising Kingdom Builders and World Changers and I encourage all women to be brave and to embrace the gifts that God has placed upon them to hand the torch of the Gospel to their family and those around them.

I hope you will find yourself at home here.  My wide front porch is always open to those that would love to share a wooden rocker next to me and to speak truth and love into one another’s lives.

Let’s be there for one another.

You are always welcome here.

I am always in awe, of people who have more than a handful of kids. I only have one, and I’m exhausted! I can’t wait to dig in to your blog.

I’m Kristy, pastor’s wife and homeschooling mom of 5 sweet (and busy!) blessings. I discovered you via your book, Hula Hoop Girl, which I discovered in the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle last year. 🙂

Your blog is beautiful. Your family is beautiful. I’ll be reading more!

I just heard you on the God Centered Mom podcast. Your testimony of motherhood moved me so deeply but, most importantly, cast my gaze to Jesus. I’m a new mom and have no idea what the future will hold for my growing family, what joys or sorrows, but I am encouraged by moms like you who have been so beautifully refined by Jesus. Thank you!

Hello. I’ve seen photos of you (the wedding) on Instagram through a mutual friend of ours. I’m preparing (whatever that means!) to come to my first Declare Conference. Its a very, very last minute decision and I’ve been stalking the FB Declare community trying to get to know everyone. You have a lovely family and blog. Can’t wait to read more.

Hello! I have four children, all the same age. When I look at your photo, I no longer feel as busy! I wanted to read more about your story, but the link in “just click here to read” says the post is no longer there.

    Hi September,

I had met you quite a few years ago at TGiF, can’t remember if it was in BF Weslyan or Maranatha. Just reading some of your blogs truly bless me. You have such a beautiful family and everything that you have all gone thru, God has blessed you tremendously!! I look forward to enjoying and reading more of your stories! Thank you so much!

Hello from Paraguay. My dear friend, September, you inspire me! Thank you for bringing hope to others by your example and testimony, embracing me as a friend and coworker, and thriving right where you are – in your home, in your community, and online!!

I love the updated “About” section and praying for you as you serve your family as a wife, mom, and nana; serve others as a friend, mom meet-up leader, and writer, and serve the RGT team as our director!

    Love and prayers, Trisha <3

September, I met you in NY 10 years ago. We were in the same homeschool co-op. We are in NC now and I happened upon your fb page. Love following you. Your words inspire me to be the best mom I can be! Thank you!

    Hi September,
I’ve been following you since Ladies Advance and Grace Chapel”s event and just love your heart.
I’m happily married with two early teens, working “full-timish” and increasingly called into womens ministry things. Lead some small groups here and there from our home, starting a monthly ladies fellowship dinner and host summer nights at our pond. Just now plugging into what that looks like in a local church body. Learning and growing every day by His grace alone.
